I have heard that if you have doubts in Sutra (the practical techniques and formulae), you should look backward for clarifications in Smrithi ( the visions, thoughts and learnings compiled into a Grandeour Design, Laws probably) and if you are doubtful of Smiriti (the Grand Contour) you should look back to Shastras (the scientific principles giving out the Design), if you are doubtful of Shastras you should look back to the Upanishads and Sruthi ( that's learned from Visioneries) and if you are still doubtful of what learned from visioneries, you should look back to the Vedas (the Visions). Do all of us have Visions ? Can we assume all make up the final techniques of life based on their own Visions or Vedas? Are these Visions of Different Individuals same, Deep Within at the Subtle Level if we try pondering deep within ourselves? just see some of those aspects of one Sutra with the following link .
