True love, I believe, exists but can be different for each of us, but never dies. I once was (sorry, this is still hard for me), really.) so much in love with a girl (we were engaged, together 6 yrs, had Joanie -- 6, (5 months old when we met, but we raised her together.) I think about her every day, would have given my life without hesitation for my kids,of course, and of course her. True love? for me it was, if there is such a thing, I think so. It never came again, and I guess it never will, I don't know. Honestly, I wasn't going to submit this,Think I should because you asked this question in such a sincere way. Thank you, hon. I lost them both on April 17, 1994 in a one car highway accident in Pa.,while on a visit to her folks. I got a 5am call at home, ( had to work, didn't go), my whole life crumbled, but to this day I think about them with a feeling that must be what they call True Love, because it can bring both tears and a smile at the same time, and thanks to you I wrote this down. I needed to. Sorry, it took me an hour to write this, I hope it's not too long. "love", your friend Jimmy C (aka Rat)

Define your meaning of true love.
There is no greater love then someone would give up his life for another.
That's been done many times.
Yes, I have and in it.
My experience is rather simple. I miss breathing the same air that she breathes. She smells right (not referring to perfumes). I can feel her presence when she walks in a room. I can look at the moon when I am away and know she is looking at too.

yeah it's called being one with your higher self. It's like you are looking at your face in the mirror, but you are looking at your face in your mind's eye, coming right at you. Sometimes your perception of you goes beyond just your body and you experience what true love really is, the transcendent God in union with your inner God.

Yes, it does. I feel in love with a "Bad Boy" who is still bad, although we are separated (yes, we are married) due to his philandering ways I still love him and it hurts like hell not to hear his voice or see his smile or feel his touch...
