Hi there

I have always had problems with gaining weight even though I eat properly and exercise.

The best way I have found that helps me put on weight is a protein mix which is readily available from health food shops and/or supermarkets. I normally drink this with milk as well as the usual 3 times per day meals. Over the last 20 years, this has been the only way I've been able to put on weight.... except for daily intake of banana bread which of course has a lot of fat...

Hope it works for your daughter ..

Leave her alone, there is probably nothing wrong with her. At seventeen she is still a child and her body is still in the deveolpement stage.
The last thing she needs is people telling her she is too thin. Drugs are the last thing she needs, she needs love and warmth of her family.
Let her hormones settle and her body will also settle into iits ideal weight.
As long as she gets a full and varied balanced diet, there is nothing to worry about.

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin. Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.

The first thing that should be sought is medical advice there are various medical conditions than can cause somebody to be underweight, thyroid problems, diabetes and more. Make sure your doctor rules out any underlying medical conditions first and then take advice. Good luck.

If your daughter is wanting to gain weight, she should see her GP. The doctor will be able to refer her to a dietitian, who can suggest a plan to help her gain weight healthily.

Don't pressurise her into putting on weight, just let nature do it's course, and eat healthily she might be one of those lucky ones who won't put on weight and stay slim

i used build up, or slim fast, as a drink instead of a meal, as it fools the brain into thinking its drinking but really its a meal.
