Silver is the traditional gift for a 21st birthday. In the old days it was common to receive giant silver keys for your 21st. It was supposed to mark your coming of age - the gateway into adulthood and all that. It used to be the voting age, and the age that you gained legal independence from your parents - meaning that women could marry without having to gain parental permission.
Thankfully, you don't expect such a silly gift anymore - after all, what would you do with a giant silver key? However, silver is still a really good idea - especially in the form of jewellery! 21 is still a major birthday so it should be something classic that can be kept forever. So, Tiffany's is a fab idea, but otherwise any classic silver jewellery, or photo frame or similar would be good.

On my 21st my boyfirend got some balloons delivered, really nice suprise present. Lasted for ages too.
You get some free chocs and can even add a teddy I think. Pretty decent price too depending on what you choose...

dont buy her the 21st necklace key....she can only wear it once and i dont think any girl would like to be walking round with that round her neck....you could go to a beauty salon and get a voucher for beauty treatment....hair, nails, make-up, etc, all girls love to be pampered, also buy her some nice dainty diamond stud earrings... take her for a nice meal somewhere romantic, then finish the night off at your place with some drinks and soft music.....then take it from there....

ooh! Mine is coming up in one month (I'm on the countdown :) ). But I'm really wanting to get drunk for the first time. Hehe. Um...if she's a good girl, get her a cd of her favorite band or something to spunk up her car, (Fuzzy dice, neon light for license plate, etc.) Or..if she's a party girl, get her a fifth and make sure she's near the toilet. Have a great time either way.

I know what I got...a journey on a lake with a boat...my bf paddling...(with popcorn, coke and twix bars). It was the most amazing gift I ever had.
My opinion is that it counts more how much imagination you have, not necessarily the amount spent.
Anyways, Good luck! (tell us what you took eventually;)

That depends on how much money you want to spend. I don't think you can go far wrong with good quality jewellery ( not the stuff off del boy on peckham market) up to a car if she can drive.

Take her somewhere memorable (and romantic if she's your girlf).
Eg on a hot-air-balloon ride (with champagne of course) or get her a flying lesson.
Good luck!
