He didn't excel in sports, but Jesus had to be a very imposing man. He was a perfect human being who worked as a Carpenter for at least 18 years under Joseph. This is a time before cranes, so heavy rock or wooden beams had to be lifted by hand. Consider that no one tried to stop him when he was turning over tables in the Temple. He likely could have pounded any of us into the ground, had he a mind to do so. His humility came from his bearing, not his appearance. As a perfect human being, he had 100% of his mental capabilities, so he was several times the intelligence of many human since the time of Adam.
He had the brains and the brawn.
