The latest news, they say one of our prisons have got rats and cockroaches well what is wrong with that all prisoners are vermin any way, they are now talking about closeing it down.May be they will build a ***** star hotel for that is tipple colt of this Goverment.

Keep the prisons s**t. Criminals are sent to prison because they did bad so why do the goverment insist upon them living a damn good life? In prison you can do sports/activitys that others never get the chance to do like canoing, rock climing etc. shouldn't prison be a place like hell instead of a hotel so the people that get sent there never want to commit a crime and return???

To talk of a closing one prison down usually means corruptive political deals to build a new one nearby have been settled on.
Given the rising population of people who evidently are giving up on living in free society, the buzzword is to BUILD AND OPEN new prisons, which eventually will have to happen in nearly every state; there are NO work-arounds to it.
Just as there political lobbies of free people in favor of prison inmate rights--why not create an even larger watchdog group that makes sure prisons DON'T waste taxpayer $$$$ by making them too comfy????? Not only would you be amazed how many share your ideals, but how fast it'd be to raise the lobby $$$$ to make sure your points carry legal legislative merit.
Remember, prison reform activist lobbies already have their large memberships and big $$$$$; it's time the opposition grew and matched up against them.

Ooh...I can't imagine being locked up in a jail. Then to have rats and roaches nibbling, crawling and sh**ing on you, too. Sounds like something out of a George Orwell novel...
Criminals need to be punished (given that they are in fact guilty) but how inhumane.
Just imagine...that you are mistaken for the guy down the street. A pedophile - and arrested, identified (mistaken identity) still identified nevertheless, tried and convicted.
Or just a "passer byer", domestic violence (I just pushed her), DUI - "...boy are they strick", drug user (nobody cares).....does anyone really deserve this? I'm sure that they are not able to isolate the rats and the roaches only to those on death row!
However, they don't need "cable". I can't afford cable!

It is surely time to get real and give thought and take action on behalf of the "Victims " whose lives have been seriously damaged and taken by the "CRIMINAL" Fraternity , the sick "Do Gooders " and "Politically Correct" rabble should be driven out of existence , they do more and more damage to society by the day with their twisted and compulsive desire to "Control" the lives of the Nation = stifling Individuality , Freedom of Thought and Speech, instilling Uncertainty and Fear , It is our duty to stand up to this breed of Lunatics and their unnatural practices . Have you ever, like EVER, been to a prison? Have you ever study the statistics on reoffenders who came out of prisons? Prisoners are sent out of prisons, unemployed with next to no chance of getting their old jobs, back, $50 in their pocket if they are lucky, and the latest welfare payment released in 2 weeks time. That's $50 for 14 days! Prisons are a medieval punishment that just don't work anymore and should be abolished as soon as we figure out a way to punish criminals. Yeah, there's the catch.

I have been locked up. and spent thirty days TWICE for something i had nothing at all to do with was completly innocent.they should put criminals to work. make them pay back the people they have harmed.they should not be treated well. at all. they should cut off peoples fingers that steal, cut off mens ---- if they rape, if you kill. you should be put to sleep like a sick dog.

i got rats and roaches in my house and my landlord still wants me to pay. she isnt even giving me food 3 times a day for free.
