Learn to use the periodic table of elements and you can find the atomic numbers, atomic masses, and all kinds of information about all of the elements.
Also, I saw a book at Barnes and Nobles titled(I believe) The Elements.. I think the publisher is the Oxford company. This book has a short essay about each element , what their properties are and how they are used. I found this book to be very interesting and much more informative about what the elements really are than any chemistry text I have read.
