Elder's blessing gives success in life, but sometimes it may convert to curse. Right or Wrong ?

Thsts something true. My grandma used to tell a girl or a lady mainly shud never shed tears becoz she is compared to a godess in the house the prosperity of the house depends on her.if her tears fall in house it something very unauspicious.she can bless as well as destroy.
