I'm thinking of asking a local store to stock my hair falls. As far as I know, it's the only store, it's not a chain. So for example's sake, if they cost $40, how much am I supposed to/should i give to him for selling them in his store?

Enter into an agreement or a contract with them and agree the terms. Know how much it cost U to to make the product and determine what profit U want to get and how much can the store put on the item for it to be reasonably prized.

Normally retail stores pay 1/2 of what the retail price is. Although this is the most common, many times the price is based on the quantity the store buys. For example, you may say your price is $20 each with a minimum dz purchased or $30 ea for any amount under a dz.

Usually what will happen is if he/she agrees to sell your products at the store, you will let them know how much you want for them, and they will then mark them up so they get a little profit too...

So, make sure you ask enough to cover your costs (supplies, time and labor)... retailers usually make things up a lot...100% in some cases...so be aware of that.

You may want to try selling them yourself on the Internet by starting up your own business/web-site.

Good luck!

You should offer them between 30 and 50% of the profit - deduct all costs involved in the manufacture, and I mean everything, from the final retail price and arriving at the end profit, one third to the seller, two thirds to you, or as much as fifty-fifty, but no more. OK.

I like to offer at least 30% or a little more. On your $40.00 hair falls I would offer the Seller $15.00.
