Norton cannot even kill viruses, what good it will be for spyware???
Download this antispyware for free, update it and run a full system scan to eliminate the spyware:
8.SpyBot Search and Destroy: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Spybot_Search_and_Destroy/1043809773/1
I also recommend you uninstall Norton and download AntiVir(AVIRA). Its much better:
http://www.free-av.com/down/windows/antivir_workstation_win7u_en_h.exe
Don't keep two antivirus software on a single system.

One very good program that is still free is Spybot--just put the term in a search engine and you will get a site to download it from.
It does a good scan and removal. There is also a residential program which monitors for the installation of spyware. This does work to a limited degree. It is however sometimes unmanageable and will not permit the installation of stuff you may wish. It, of course, should be disabled when doing any formal installation of new software.

Download any of these free programmes you dont have and run one at a time. This should fix you up.
Antiviral. (free)
AVG free. Excellent protection available from: http://www.Grisoft.com
Don't use two antiviral products together as they may be incompatible. If your Antiviral trial has run out, then remove product from your computer and get the AVG installed.

Essential products are: Adaware SE from: http://www.lavasoft.com

check my 360 blog page, i have some hints and tips. but Basically, you should download Spybot, and Adaware. These get rid of spyware and adware. If your norton has run out of it's subscription, i suggest you remove it (since the definitiions won't be updated)....but if you want to keep norton, update it regularly. Although it's known that norton can be a CPU hog. If you are using Internet explorerer, you may want to switch to Firefox because IE is prone to security hacks. I have reasons why to switch on my blog. Thanks and good luck.

It is doubtful that anything that has been suggested so far will remove PestTrap. Your computer has a Smitfraud infection and most "general purpose" malware removal tools can not kill it or even detect it.
However, some computer geek over in France has developed a specialized tool called SmitFraudFix v2.100 that has been known to remove the PestTrap hijacker. Free from:
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix_En.php
Good luck.

those two together should remove everything.
then....
if you are running internet explorer 6 STOP!
download internet explorer version 7
or
download firefox

any one of those three options will pretty much end your spyware headaches.
