Few people go to UAE on visit visas search for the job and get their work visa, in rare cases it can be done within the country otherwise you have to leav the UAE, re-enter the country back on a new visa.

What you telling is that you have a visa but you plan to stay and work in Dubai the first thing you have to do is get a job , once you have a job then the company where you work can help you to change your visit visa for a working visa , but you have to do some test to see what is your school level and depends where are you from, if you have American passport is very easy but if you don't is not ,and the cost of living is not cheap.

You have to find the company/sponsor from Dubai which will make for you visit visa for 2-3 months.
It is NOT easy........ but if you get it it wll cost you approximately 1500AED
