that question is just as unanswerable as if you had asked it of men. Depends on the person and their attitude towards masturbation, which obviously depends on a lot of different factors from religious/moral beliefs to their ability to actually bring themselves to orgasm. Personally I think it is a wonderful thing and I guess I do it 2-3 times a week (excluding masturbation during sex with my partner). It's great just having to concentrate on pleasing yourself once in a while - I think of it as a kind of highly rewarding meditation ;-). Most of my friends fall into the same niche, although I also know a couple of women who think it's gross, some who are just not interested, and a few who don't know how to do it properly and feel too guilty/ashamed to experiment.

I can't speak for other women, only for myself. I don't have a partner at the present time, and it crosses my mind more frequently than none. I was in a 17 year relationship, and now things have come to a screeching halt for a while. It takes a lot of concentration and fantasizing. doesn't it?
