Writer's Block is the (perceived) inability to write. A lack of inspiration, motivation, conviction etc. The best way to stop it is to write! Just write! Anything! Just keep your hand moving. Even if it's drivel. Write a memory. Write what you had for breakfast. Force yourself to write even when it seems awkward & makes you uncomfortable. Don't wait for that elusive burst of divine inspiration that may never come. Just get busy in the act of writing & eventually you'll loosen up & the creative juices will flow.
(It's the same with painter's block! Just start filling the canvas. You can always paint over it after if you don't like it.)
Creating is hard work. Filling a blank page. Creating something out of nothing. Just don't expect a masterpiece. When you give yourself permission to create crap, it helps you relax enough to create something unexpectedly great...

Writer's block is when the person writing has no inspiration and just cannot think of ideas to write.
The only way you can stop this phenomenon is by leaving the desk or area you are trying to write and take a break. Find something else to do until you are ready to get back and start writing again.
Breaks always help

Writers block is when the creativity and inspiration evade you. What I do is pray to my Angels of inspiration. 99% of the time they give me great ideas, phrases, words that get me out of the block. The other 1% is when they tell me that I'm trying too hard, that resting, fun and distraction are important too. So, I left the writing for a day or two (even a week or a month) and when I take it back creativity and inspiration are with me again.
