There is a standing order issued by the Ministry of Social Welfare that husband and wife team should be posted at the same station, as far as possible, depending on the availability of vacancies. This gives ample scope for possible osting/transfer to the same station. Since the Bank of Baroda is a nationalised bank, the said order is of relevance.

Contact higher authorities in your wife's office. Explain the situation. If nothing works out, then ask your wife to wait, search for a job in Vadodara and then resign. I am sure there are lots of opportunities available.

100%.Provided you handle it diplomatically.The bank in which your wife works ask for their transfer policy ,they should be having staff union please enquire there whether the policy lies with management or union if its prior talk to their higher ups and ask for the protocol,else speak to your wife's union people ask them the procedure and that's it i think.
