There are basically 2 types of mp3 players: hard drive players and flash memory players.Flash memory players are low memory players ranging from 1 to 8 gigs
(holds around 100-2000) songs , the advantage of these is that they are small and very durable and can be used for exercising.the down side is that they may have limited features compared to hard drive players.A good flash player is the creative" V". The hard drive players have better memory(30+ gigs), you can hold over 7000 tracks so you carry your whole music library with you.Hard drive players also have more features such as video playback.these players are great if you are a long distance traveler. The disadvantage of HD players is that you can't use them for exercise, because severe jolting of the device may damage the hard drive. The award winning
