Major corporate music label survey demographics show music audiences and their $$$$ are steering clear of the rap genre; safe to say they're no longer looking to sign rap artists up.

However, there are smaller scale record labels out there who will sign you up in a flash. Just find a cheaply produced rap CD and look at the back of the jewel case, there you'll find the record label address to write to and send in a "demo" of your work.

If you have aims for the major record labels, you might want to consider doing anything BUT rap.
