well as a single mother of 3 myself, I would have to say that you must show her that you understand how important her children are to her and not try to come between that and your lifestyle should show that you take family life serious. And be ready to take it slow because good, honest, appreciative, respectful love (true) takes time. And feel free to share all of this with her, its all part of the honesty. Because all of the above should be communicated not just thought.

There is truely no "best" way or words nor is it a game to "win". Lines aren't going to get you anywhere but in trouble. Just be yourself, be open and honest with her (even if it hurts her feelings).

You mentioned that you think you have fallen in love with her? Did you or didn't you? You cant halfway love soemone and ask them to marry you, it will just end up bad in the end. Also, find out why she hasn't answered your question, does she need more time? But make sure to not make it sound demanding like "I need an answer NOW!"

Take it slow! She is a single mom with 3 kids! Just be there for her! That would probably mean more to her than anything else! It's OK to love her, she needs that, too! Just don't push! Good Luck!

Some good phrases to use...
"I'll cook dinner tonight Honey"
"Would you like a footrub?"
"Tell me about your day"
"What could i do for you right now that would make your day?"
Sounds corny but as I am a mother of three as well these words would delight my ears!

How old are her children? If they are all under the age of 5yrs then go for it, if not then back off. She is having second thoughts about this for a reason.

If she is interested in you give her time and attention. Ask about her life now her future.
Talk about yourself. Make plans to do things together. In time you you may both find love and affection for each other.

"I know your kids will always come first. I know their father will always be a part of their lives, and yours. I know that we should never have children of our own together because the kids from your first marriage will feel shortchanged and less important when they have to shuttle back and forth between their father's house and our house. I know that my needs will always take a backseat to your kids' needs."

Words have no meaning without action
Nothing you can say will truely make her want you, this has to come from her heart, not from manipulation.
