You can do this at the US Copyright Office – see the last 2 links in the source box. The application is fairly simple & the cost is $45 per application.

Despite what others state, a "poor man's" copyright is NOT the same as registering it. Here's what the US Copyright Office has to say:

"The practice of sending a copy of your own work to yourself is sometimes called a 'poor man’s copyright.' There is no provision in the copyright law regarding any such type of protection, and it is not a substitute for registration."

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

The pictures were copyrighted the moment they were created in a fixed form. I'm not sure that you need to do anything further.

Depending on what country you are in, you might contact the appropriate government agency for intellectual property, copyrights, patents, or trademarks (it's handled differently in different in different places).

Copyright law can be complex, and if you are serious about it, you should take the time/expense of consulting with a lawyer who specializes in copyright.

Register the pictures with the Copyright Office so that you will have exclusive rights over the use of the pictures.

It seems a bit oxymoronic.
After all, these pictures are for marketing purposes and you would WANT people to use them at their descretion???
There would be more money in a successful music career than profit from a few images anyway.

The photographer (IF you're referring to photographs) automatically owns the copyright from the moment the picture was taken.

If you are NOT referring to photographs, please include more information in your question.
