Do I need to change it to "some nazis are evil" so as not to generalize a certain group of people?

I think you are ok with all Nazis are evil. Winston Churchill was very particular to always refer to Nazis rather than Germans when he spoke of the War. He was trying to avoid the genaralisation to which your refer.
Some would argue that some in the Nazi party ( e.g Albert Speer ) were basically ok guys who just went along with the flow. But that's no excuse, really is it ? Also some grass roots Nazis later claimed not to know what was going on ( but you would not trust the word of a man who wears brown lederhosen or a grown woman in pig tails would you ?? )

No, because by definition, the definition of a nazi is someone who believed in Hitler's final solution. That can be deemed evil. Thus, all nazis are evil. Transitive property.

Sure, I'd go along with that.
That of course would include Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Edward the VII, Charles Lindbergh, possibly Errol Flynn, The Bush family, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, all of whom have had links to or expressed admiration for Hitler.
