I heard on the news today that there was some technology that was used to scan the painting of La Joconde. It lead the researchers to believe the famous lady was pregnant when she posed. What do you think ?...
That would probably explain her mysterious smile ( the lady with a mystic smile ) from Nat King Cole's song !)

Can't say about pregnant, but she looks to me like she is remembering some good sex.

Ah, questions with no answers. No one knows who Mona Lisa was or whether there even was such a person and not just a combination of other's facial features.

Guys and Dolls---How quickly we forget that Da Vinci was working on something else on that same canvas, didnt like it, fliiped it over and did the M.L. I would like to suppose that he was doing a painting of a pregnant woman before he decided to do M.L., it didnt turn out right so he worked over it. Unless this was a vision of his mother pregnant with him/sibling?

If she was, the child was painted right out of the picture. Just another media report.

I heard that as well. Its an interesting theory.

It explains the placement of her hands on her belly.
