Because of the good climate, Malia is busy all round the year; after November with Greeks mostly...
29 is not ...old!!! age!!!!
Regarding information about the place, what to do, where to eat, where (and most important) WHAT to drink etc. you can find at the site below, despite the fact that the English version is rather poor...

Have a nice trip!

What can I say about Malia...I went there a few years back I was probably the same age as you at the time. Can't remember what time of year though. I can tell you though that you would need to be 17 to not feel old in Malia. Most of the people there looked like they should be at school, which they really appreciate you telling them. I went with a couple of mates and we would go to one of the bars on a road back from the main strip. Couple of nice bars with locals pouring Raki down their necks. By the time we'd drunk our weight in alcohol we were just about ready to face the bars on the main strip! You will be hounded by bar reps and have to buy drinks on a buy one get one (or two) free basis. PS this don't mean it's cheap.

There was a 24 hour bar too if you really need that last couple of drinks.

So to summarise, as long as you accept the nightlife for what it is, that you are likely to feel a little old and don't worry about it you will have a good time.

Try a travel website to find out about your hotel and the area. You get reviews from people who have been there themselves, but don't take their opinions to heart, its only that ... their opinions.
