if you own a S2000 than you like the freeway and you would love a t3t4. but!!! you cant have ether an expect it to run forever with out building the engine's bottom end. rebuild the pistons, rods and knife edge the crank. Both need lower compression pistons to compensate for the extra air you will force into the cylinder. than decide if you want to drive it to work or not. if you want to drive the car more than 2,000 miles a year than put a turbo on it. you will have faster speed, more power and the ability to turn it down for the ride to the store. if you like to flat out drag race 1/8th mile max 1/4th mile than put a super charger or belt driven turbo. you will have no boost lag but you will have low gas mileage (if you own a S2000 than you have money for any gas) and it will always have a lot of power and it wont be fun on the freeway when you are not racing corvettes. the supercharger will run hotter and burn out faster with out a intercooler. for street racing from a stop the supercharger would be fun but you wont hook up the tires. if you want to scream to 170+mph get a turbo. turbos will beat any supercharger on the freeway. the freeway is where i do all my racing. Both have there own place but the turbo is better by far as versatility and practicality. If you want to run with the big boy’s get a dart race block and boost to 700hp and drive it on the street. 200mph You will still get 25mpg (low boost). That is over 300hp per liter. America can’t say that and I owned a 600hp 645tq 350cid, in a 66 chevelle.

Supercharger- No lag as in turbo motors, means better initial throttle response though at higher RPM both are evenly matched.
Turbo- More efficient than a supercharger as it uses exhaust gases to power the turbine which other wise goes waste.

It depends on what you want the car for, how you drive it, and such.
If you are mostly doing highway cruising, or if you want insane power numbers, go with turbo. Just know you are gonna deal with some lag off the line.
If you need that off-the-line kick, or if most of your driving is on a tight road course, go with the supercharger for the nearly instantaneous boost.

Supercharger is more highly than a turbo. turbo is more safter to use than a Supercharger. It really depends on how your motor is build by and what it cubic sizes.

I have the Vortech s/c setup on my '01 with 7 lbs. I gotta say, there is significant lag until around 3K, at which point you'll know it's working (to say the least). While I have considerably more than just the s/c, I have run a 12.1 on slicks at sea level.
A turbo application has more potential, but it's a riskier proposition. Unless you plan on putting serious money into your S, I wouldn't bother. You can get a s/c kit for around $8000.

Supercharged - Pulley-driven...makes small amount of parasitic load on engine because of the pulley driving the compressor...provides excellent low end power but not as much at higher rpm's. Excellent choice for high revving 4-cylinder engines that dont produce much torque.
Turbochargers - Exhaust driven...suffers from "lag" the bigger you go, needs more exhaust to get the turbine spinning...excellent for higher end power but not low end torque
They are basically the same concept, but just driven differently. It all depends on the application.

definitely turbo, more power and more sound and of course it kills more gas. supercharger is a waste of money.
