Yes! It's so sad!

We knew some people that had 2 Rottweilers and 3 kids. Their house was disgusting, I mean you felt you needed innoculations when you left. So Child Protective Services FINALLY steps in, and tells them they are either going to have to get rid of the dogs, or they can't have their children back. The couple was like "That's so unfair. We can't make that decision, the dogs are our children!" I think they finally got rid of the dogs and got their kids back. How could that even be something to consider? Of course you are gonna' get rid of the dogs, wihout a second thought!

Some people shouldn't have animals or children.

You know there's people out there like me who can't and won't ever have kids so animals are all I will ever have. So yes, I will treat my animals better then I will treat my kids! I have a bird and 2 dogs, and with the breed of dogs I have and where I live sometimes the dogs have to wear clothes. When it gets to 10 to 20 below zero you can bet that my dogs are going to be in an outfit like a snowmobile suit along with boots so they don't freeze to death and so they don't ruin my house in the winter.

Also, in the summer when the sun is out and it's over 90 all the time, my dogs have such delicate skin they will burn so, yes...I do have them wear t-shirts so I won't have to get them all icky with suntan lotion goo.

My pets ARE my children.....but I don't go to extremes and dress them up

Funniest thing I saw the other day? Nail polish for your "pampered pet" !

pets dont answer back, they are easier to look after, they do not require a 24 hr sevant , wich children do and pets give unconditional returns. lf

I haven't met that person yet...I'm just lucky, I guess!

From my experience, when people are 'foolish' with their dogs, they don't have children at home...

it depends on individual.children's can make their demand but pets cannot do so moreover they depend on us for their whole life.your child will forget all what you did for him/her but an animal wont.--being an animal activist this is what i think.

So it would seem. Alas, forced sterilization is not yet legal.
Sigh!
