I was under the impression that the salaries of public employees were public knowledge? If this is true, are you allowed to find out the salary information of a specific individual? If so, how would I go about finding out salary information of employees at Foothill College? www.foothill.edu ?

I am not sure which country you are in but in Australia, salaries of public employees are public knowledge. You wouldnt be able to find out the specifics for a particular individual but by knowing their employment status and Experience E.g. Level 1 - Admin, level 2 - Teacher etc you could look at a goverment chart with all the wages on them

To find out the salary information of employees at Foothill College should be as simple as calling their Human Resources Department and asking about their pay scale. I work at a college and they post the pay scales on a bulletin board in the Human Resources office.
