I am 9 weeks pregnant and I have bad morning sickness to the point of not being able to move. My doctor just says eat small meals and try not to be sick. This is virtually impossible and I am so uncomfortable. I have tried Maxalon tablets, which work, but I dont want to keep taking them for too long. Does anyone have any better solutions?

Try keeping a box of saltine crackers and a bottle of 7-up or some other clear soda, or ginger ale next to your bed. Eat 4-5 crackers about 15 minutes before getting out of bed and drink some of the soda. A lot of doctors believe that most morning sickness stems from women getting up and moving around on an empty stomach.

I had morning sickness to the point of feeling like I was going to throw up if I got up or moved. I found that the following things helped:

*eating smaller meals- kept my stomach from feeling 'too full'
*drinking flat ginger ale
*coca-cola syrup in small doses
*eating some salty crackers before getting out of bed (wait 15-20 minutes before getting up)
*eating 'ginger snaps" cookies. Ginger supposedly helps nausea.
* sucking on lollypops
*the smell of citrus or lemons

I know the feeling of being annoyed at the doctor. You come with a problem, and they're like 'Oh, well." I found it really helpful to join a group with other expecting mums. We could vent to each other and share tips and ideas. Some of us still talk now, almost 10 years later.

Good luck!

I'm sorry, there is not a lot you can do, but it will pass!

If you always have a little something available, like crackers or mini yogurts or something, if you have something in you it might help you not feel so sick.

Ginger tea might help, also the motion sickness bracelets. Try your local healthfood store, they might have some good natural remedies you can try.

If you are annoyed at your doctor, consider hiring a midwife instead! The care will be much nicer and more personal, and most midwives will probably be covered by your insurance

Yes and it works great for any nausea.

You remember those old fashioned wrist bands you would wear when playing tennis? Get a pair of those and a package of marbles. You are going to place a marble under the wrist band, feel the inside of your wrist.....feel those two little tendons? Thats where you want to place the marbles. Its the pressure point for your stomach and stops nausea.

If you want to test it try pushing your thumb into it now. If you can you can actually try to get both wrists but it takes a bit of flexibility....a lot of people can't do it. Try it for about five minutes and see if it helps.

You can also try peppermint oil....my friend was told to chew mint gums, drink mint tea first thing in the morning etc.

Hope it helps!

In a familiar week I watch right here shows: - well being practitioner Who - well being practitioner Who deepest - BBC information except for this there is not any longer something on television that I watch at present. also i go out on Saturday to observe well being practitioner Who which includes 5 different pals who also love the teach. 4 of those pals HATE Eurovision and that i visit't say i like it both. Seeing as I likely watch below one hundred hours of television a three hundred and sixty 5 days by suspending well being practitioner Who the BBC has quite a lot wasted per week nicely worth of my television licence funds.

For your small meals try flat 7up and ginger snap cookies or glace ginger, flat gingerale may help too - ginger calms nausea. Doesn't work for everyone but is natural and worth a try. Some companies also make a ginger or lemon & ginger infusion tea (caffeine free as there's not actual tea in it) and that can help too - drink it warm but not too hot. Its also nice iced! Good luck!

The only thing that ever helped me was dry soda crackers. They seemed to soak up the acid, or whatever, and lessened the morning sickness.
