Birds urine and solid waste are combined, otherwise it is the same. Owls as well as other birds of prey do cast pellets which are basically thrown up through the mouth after bones, feathers, fur, accumulate in the crop. It looks similar to cats hairball. I have seen many and they often contain mouse sculls and similar things.

yes, from his anus, but as you might know, pretty often owls eat live prey such as a mouse and more or less swallow it whole. Then they cant pass the bones through their digestive tract, so they vomit up the bones and hair in a little pellet. You might have seen one of these in science class in school. When you dissect the owl pellet you can find the bones and identify them, so you know what the owl was eating.
