how do i open any link in new window? right click on the mouse fails to achieve this!?

when i click on the link on the page or try 2 open any link in new window, a short window appears on the screen but is unable to display the contents of that page and this happens on all the sites. consequently i m not able 2 open any links of the main page. how do i rectify?

Hold down the shift key while you click the link. It will work the same as right clicking.
