I have always done well at school and am currently studying electrical and electronic engineering at university. I am doing well but lately I've been starting to worry because I have never had a job. Will this affect my chances of getting a job after I graduate?

You are twenty and currently studying...OK, why should you worry ??? You can start your career after the completion of your studies. In many institutes -Fresh candidates are appointed ..so you need not worry at all . Supposing if you are not studying and sitting idle and wasting your valuable time then you have to worry ...since you are studying nothing to worry.. BEST OF LUCK

Don't Know. Regardless, It's Good To Have Any Work Experience So You Would Know What To Expect. Customer Service Jobs Pay Off In The Long Run Cause It Helps Out When You Have To Deal With A**holes.....Experience In Working With People Helps On Your Resume.....

Yes I think it will affect your chances of getting a job. Employers look for job experience. You would get paid the base for an entry level job straight out of college. I would advise for you to dip into the employment world to gain the experience and knowledge to prepare yourself after college. Even if it's a part time job at the local coffee shop, it will give you the experience of a lifetime. If that's not your cup of tea, try out something in the electronic or engineering world. Good luck with your endeavors!

NO it won't !! how can you study good & work at the same time. If it does worry you, pick up a part time job the money will come in handy or do voluntary work & that will read very well on your resume

not if you graduate with a high enough GPA no it should not. Having a job is just like doing what your mom or dad tells you to do at home. Be on time and do what you are told to do and do it well. Then you should be fine. It's all about being responsible for your actions and doing what you are getting paid to do. Why not get a part time job at a hamburger place or something just to get an idea just do it for a while so you get a feel for it. Just a suggestion.

No. Jobs can be found anywhere but majority of people being hired right now coz of the education dat they have. U have higher chances of getting hired and tz not because at dat age u don't have any job experiences but at dat age u have reached something far from which a man could explain.

Dat s your education. Continue studying coz learning is the art for having a rewarding career.

You're going to need something other than schooling to put on your resume, consider a part time job, an intership or summer job related to your major, and some kind of volunteer, club or organization involvement.

Having experience helps - but in your field, it's probably not as critical. See if your university has an internship program, or if your guidance counselor knows someone who's looking for an intern, that can get you connections and experience.
