nope u r wrong man, buggati was the world's fastest car, but now it barabus tkr, have a look .
The Barabus TKR is a supercar planned for production by Barabus Sportscars Limited. Its V8 twin turbo engine is intended to have 1005 horsepower at 6800 RPM, and the vehicle is claimed to be capable of accelerating from 0-60 MPH in 1.67 seconds with a top speed of 270 MPH. Many car enthusiasts are skeptical about these figures because the theoretical tire grip that would be required to accelerate a vehicle that quickly can only be provided by a slick tire[citation needed] designed especially for racing, and slick tires are not road legal.
Although very little is known about the manufacturer , Barabus claims the TKR will be faster than the Bugatti Veyron at about half the price; the Veyron costing £810,000 (US$1,300,000) while the TKR has a suggested retail price of £360,000 (US$670,000)
The Bugatti Veyron may no longer be the world's fastest car. Today — following a number of teasers and leaks — Barabus officially unveiled the TKR: a new 1005 horsepower supercar the automaker says is capable of doing zero to 60 mph in 1.67 seconds. What's more, the car reportedly has a top speed of 270 mph — nearly 20 more than the Veyron. Power comes from a 6.0 liter V8 twin-turbocharged with dual intercoolers. The car has a full carbon fibre body and chassis. Further details remain sparse, but the automaker says it will sell the car for £360,000, which should translate to around $500,000, using typical automotive market conversion rates.
It's worth noting that Barabus sometimes refers to the car as being able to hit 60 mph in "under 2 seconds," rather than the stated 1.67. Even so, there is still some doubt among enthusiasts if such a figure is even possible. Nonetheless, the car is on display at the 2006 British International Motor Show, and we expect to get more details in the near future. The TKR is said to have been in development for the last 10 years. The car is to be made in Italy and the power plant is built in the United Kingdom. Worldwide volume is projected to be 300-400 cars over the estimated three-year production run.
, WNAA C ITS PICS, HAVE A LOOK!

The answer for street cars has been answered multiple times. However if you mean land speed records, the answers are: the Thrust SSC went 763m/hr in 1997 at Black Rock Desert in Nevada. The internal combustion engine land speed record is still held by the Goldenrod which went 409m/hr in 1965 on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. The records for fastest land competition racing all belong to drag racing. Top Fuel record is 336m/hr in 2005 and Funny Car record is 334 in 2004.
