Hi, i'm upgrading my computer and i bought an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and an Intel P965LTCK motherboard.
I'm making my friend install the new hardware but he's been installing Pentium 4s and pentium Ds and has never seen a Core 2 Duo. Is it the same installation or Core 2 Duo needs new knowledge?
Do I need to upgrade something else?

the core2duo processor has the same socket as the pentiumD and some pentium4's. That's lga775. So if he installed a pentium with lga775 he will have no problem installing the core2duo.

the motherboard is compatible with the core2duo so you won't have to upgrade the bios.

best of luck.
