I know what most would say. Of course not. But consider this: The strive of modern technology is to keep people alive longer. Due to this, we have an overpopulation dilemma. When someone gets a disease, we cure the disease, more people are alive to populate the Earth and destroy the environment. We consume our resources at an alarming rate, until our planet is barren. In this light, technology is a cancer. As horrible as it sounds, without technology, people would have shorter lifespans, more people would die and we would solve our population problem. I know the irony of me typing this on Yahoo, but bear with me. Just a theory.

I've thought of the same thing.

The problem is that new technology has been introduced but people haven't changed their habits. For instance, vaccinations have cut down on infant and adult mortality. And more people are not working on farms anymore. However, people still have a lot of babies. In Africa the crisis wouldn't be so bad if they just curtailed the birth rate. The same will soon happen to the U.S.

Also, humans keeps interfering in nature's attempt to stabilize the population through pandemics.

I think it is a conspiracy for companies to keep wages low by having too many workers.

First of all, if you are fed up with technology try going a couple of months without indoor plumbing.
Technology keeps us alive longer but should also find ways to support more of us on the same planet.
