I recently installed Google Earth. At the end of the install it 'Automatically' installed Google as my default search engine. I saw the 'Do you want to make Google your default search engine' question but it 'autmoatically skipped' giving me option. I want to complain to someone Official as I feel my Privacy has been violated.

I don't see that this breaches your privacy in any way, but agree that it would annoy the hell out of me. Just change the setting back in your browser back to whatever you had before.

A far more important issue this should wake you up to is the fact you haven't 'anti hijacked' any of your browser settings. On a properly protected system it would not have been able to change this setting WITHOUT AN OK FROM YOU!

You should consider using Windows defender or 'spybot search and destroy' as they will stop anything like this happening again by google or anyone else.

All they are trying to do is encourage you to use Google, it's easy enough to get your homepage back to what you want. You can always read their terms & conditions and their privacy statements, after all they are in trouble in the States for not divulging personal information to the Governement (unlike Yahoo).
All search engines are by their very nature adware as they make their money from paying sponsors but as yet it hasn't proved to be too pernicious, you should try Google (or Microsoft) Desktop which uncovers all your files, web browsing and interests.
Google Earth is a terrific programme but as Google is a company they have to recoup their investmant somehow so simply pointing you to their search engine is hardly asking (excuse the pun) the earth.

Install another browser eg Firefox and set that up to be your default.

Google are entitled to bundle their products ie give you the browser, but you can re-set the default.
