Drinking soda (vs. water, for example) dehydrates your system, which shows in your skin. So it might take a little longer than a week or two for the effects to show up, but drinking water and keeping properly hydrated benefits more than just your skin. I cut out sodas for a year (New Year's Resolution) and I lost 15lbs. without doing anything else (no more exercise than usual, no other dietary restrictions...)

If you drink lots of water not only will it affect your skin for the better but it's a natural weight loss agent, filtering out all of the junk out of your system and so your immune and digestive systems can function more effectively to rid excess junk of all kinds. But I recommend bottled or spring water primarily since depending on where you live - the tap water could be pathetic with yummy chemicals and lead. If you filter tap water for drinking that is also more beneficial.

fried fatty foods do as much harm as sugary foods and drink! I drink several cans of cola a day.I've done that all my life and I don't have blemishes! It just depends on the person I think. Keeping your skin clean and keep your hair off your face especially if you use a lot of gels or hair spray.
Now I will share a secret with you! before going to bed wash your face and rinse well then apply white vinegar to your blemishes and they will be gone by morning. I put the vinegar on my entire face then rinse it off with plain water before going to bed! It really works!

Well it will start to look better, but for a good result u must stay away from sodas and other artificial drinks laced with sugar for prolonged periods to hav any lasting effect.

Good luck!

It will certainly not do the opposite! You will also save yourself some cavities, and your belly will decrease a bit.I made a vow with myself to only drink soda with junk food . That's it. Otherwise it harder to digest. There's like 6 tablespoon of sugar in every can! Something my doc told me once.

no you have to drink for longer. And water won't take care of it all. Other dieting habits like candy, or even the simple fact that you have to take care of your skin. But water is a GREAT place to start.
