Were you really wanting to fire ALL the female employees? How can that be fair? When you say love affairs are you talking about affairs between married women and men? If so, I would get to the bottom of this situation and talk to the individuals involved, only if your company policy allows for you to get involved. It might not affect the individuals performance now but if there are really affairs going on and hubby or wifey find out there will be ALOT of s..... hitting the fan and the work place will not be a pleasant one.
On the other hand if it is just love affairs and your company has no rules against dating, why get involved. Keep em happy.

If you fired your female employees, why would you not fire the male employees. How could there be any affairs if there weren't two people in the affair. Why not just fire everyone in your office, then there wouldn't be anyone left to have any affairs , right. You could hire a private detective, or mind your own business, which is my advise to you.

No, because then you will be liable for discrimination lawsuits, the best thing to do is to have a company wide meeting, let everyone know that you know what is going on, and that it is to stay out of the work place, on the other hand if one of these affairs starts to cause problems with productivity, work, etc, then you have grounds to fire that person, but you can't just fire the females, without running into all sorts of legal problems

Why fire the woman? Why not the man and woman for having the affair? It takes two to tango. You could be in for a law suit if your not careful. First of all.... Don't rely on rumors. If it is true, and you are familiar w/ office procedures, you must have some sort of protocol. If it is true, and against Co. policy, you first must talk to them and warn them... that is against Co policy for employees to date, or whatever. Or, you could advise them that you will write them up if it doesn't stop. Each state has different laws. Better be very careful....

Why just the females? But a love affair is only problematic if one lover supervises the other. Then you should let the superior one (male or female) go.
Before doing anything make sure you can prove there was a romantic tryst. You may want to just warn both parties first and see if they will put their job over their heart.

Fire the females AND males because they have to be having the love affairs WITH someone

it quite is in basic terms as much as the corporation and their rules as maximum states are "at-will" and don't desire any grounds for termination and maximum companies have grounds against fraternization in the corporation. If she brings lots of money right into a corporation or is very valued, the corporate would chosen to ignore the habit. If she isn't a valued worker, is a client-friendly, justifiable reason to legally terminate her.

This is just hearsay at this time and it would be quite drastic to fire all female employees as well as this will open you up to discrimination law suits and wrongful termination suits too.

Why not all the males?

Love affairs, as you put it, happen all over the world even second of the day.

How can one stop love? Or why would you for that matter?

there are love affairs and just plain old affairs in every office, every worksite. that is just human nature. if you fire only the females it would look discriminatory. that could impact you and your facility.
