Careful with taking sleep aid... even tylenol as they can make your body depend on them. As you get older however your body stops producing melatonin, which is natural and safe to use. http://www.melatonin.com/
However first try
1. No fluids an hour before bed
2. No food past 8pm, that way your body doesn't have to digest as you are falling asleep
3. Find out if you need a window open or a fan on or both. I personally sleep with both and 2 comforters to find that perfect temp.
4. No TV, Movies, Videogames or computers 1 hour before bed. If you need something, try reading a book. But try just sitting and relaxing from the day. Without the added distractions, you can fall asleep deeper which will help you stay asleep longer
5. Talk to your doctor. If none of our suggestions work, he'll know how to deal with all this better than anyone on the internet.

If you wake up frequently you may have something called sleep apnea http://www.sleepapnea.org/info/index.html

Good luck and happy sleeping

I close the door (less noise), open a window (fresh air), go to the bathroom even if i don't need to (obvious reasons), and throw in a slow jams cd on repeat for a good night's sleep. I'm not sure why music keeps me dreaming but I guess it drowns out noises that may wake you up, like squeaky floors or a lonely cat.

drink some warm milk before u go to bed- but not a lot because then u'll need to pee. make sure u pee before u go to bed cuz most ppl wake up in the middle of the night to pee.
also make sure u have a nice hot shower every night so that u feel relaxed. read something before u go to bed, do this repetitively every night and then ur body becomes conditioned to associate reading at that time with sleep and u'll feel sleepy!

Have great sex for at an hour before the time you want to fall asleep, and for heavens sake don't take any drugs. Drink a little warm milk, DON'T GO NEAR CAFFIENE after 3 pm.

This should do the trick.

Warm milk, reading a book before going to bed, exercise, and patience. Quietness, dim lights or total darkness make me sleepy.
