I also have some usa patterns, how do I convert to uk size needles?

Looks like old UK 8 & 10 are now 4 & 3.25 metric.

i believe that the needles are 31/4s and 8s that is the needles i use and i am from the uk a lot of times too if you have british patterns they will give you the equivelant us needles i think google or any search engine will help you find a needle converter hope this helps you out

size 8 needles are 4 mm and 10 needles are 3 1/4 mm most needles now have both sizes written on them, or I imagine that you could go to most craft shops and buy a needle gauge which will give both sizes.
