When the penis is erect, there is a built-in valve which switches the plumbing from “urine eject” into “sperm eject”. The same mechanism that prevents urination during erection also prevents erection during urination. That is why it is difficult to urinate during an erection and, conversely, why an erection is lost during urination.

I have found that my body seems to shut that part down until after.. But if that is not the case then here is a few helpful hints...
1. Do not eat heavy or greasy foods 12 hours before sexual activities. Doing this will help prevent gas buildup.
2. Use the bathroom before sexual Intercourse. This will relive any "pressure" resulting in/from a full bladder or stomach.
I hope this helps you out. And no it is not a odd question.

When a boy ejaculates that process automatically shuts the opening from the bladder so that urine can't come out. If a boy has to urinate before he ejaculates he needs to say excuse me and go tend to business and then come back. He will have to get an erection again but for a young lad that is no problem.

Oddly enough it is pretty easy to "hold off" the urination when you have an erection.
Urinating while maintaining an eretion is next to impossible (if not simply just painful) so it is possible for some men to "hold off" until the erection is "over".
This however has not happened to me for ages, since I tend to go to the bathroom before any type of sex session, simply because I know how difficult it can get to alternate between holding off your need to urinate, and enjoying the sex at hand.
It does happen on the early morning weekends when my wife wakes me up by turning me on, and I cannot seem to climax because the need to urinate is so strong. So usually after her 3rd or 4rth orgasm, she takes a break and I can go to the bathroom and "let 'er rip!".
Cheers!

Well, some dudes can't control it. But most can. Urine and semen come from different pathways, so one can be released without the other.
Of course when you have an orgasm it isn't unusual for someone that has to urinate to let loose. It is probably best to go before you start having sex.

It's automatic. It is difficult to urinate with an erection because some muscle or something contracts to prevent urine flow. In fact, one article I read even offered the idea that a man who needs to delay going to the bathroom should think erotic thoughts and get a little aroused. Good night!

I have read somewhere that it is physically impossible to urinate during sexual stimulation. Its not something you "have to control", it just kinda does it on its own. At times after intercourse it is even hard to urinate for a little while. I belive (going from what my girlfriend has said) it is the same for woman who have been stimulated. Not sure if that really answers or not. But hope it helps.

Ejaculation can be considered premature when it occurs 30 seconds to 4 minutes into sex, depending on different cultures, countries and experts. Behavioural techniques can help you delay orgasm. Learn here https://tr.im/OsVDI
These include the start-and-stop method and the squeeze technique. A combination of these techniques along with sexual counselling and medication (either using an anaesthetic cream or an oral tablet) is recommended.

Many of the causes of erectile dysfunction are actually psychological. Understand that this is not the same as saying that it’s all in your head, because it’s not. Learn here https://tr.im/9oIgJ
Psychological issues can easily lead to a variety of very real physical ailments. If that surprises you, it shouldn’t. Stress can lead to heart disease, so why can’t other psychological issues lead to ED? It’s a pretty common, fairly well understood phenomenon.
Stress is, in fact, one of the leading causes of ED, which makes it a particularly nasty condition (because it also can lead to heart troubles, so it hits you twice). Long before stress kills you though, it will impact your sex life in a major, and entirely negative way.

It is extremely difficult for men to urinate with an erection. It has to be pushed hard to get out. The inflammation of the surgeon general constricts the urethra to the point of closure.
