I've read a few posts on here saying that 9/11 was a conspiracy of the US government and that the war on terror isn't real at all. I don't believe it, but I'd like to know what evidence or thoughts or theories anyone has on this question. Was 9/11 a conspiracy or not? What evidence is there to back this up? Why would the US government do that in the first place? What would happen if it was proved there was or was not a conspiracy to make 9/11 happen?

I don't believe it's a conspiracy. Soon after 9/11, I sat down almost every night on my computer, and typed away 70 chapters.

I've lived in the New York area most of my life, and left it 20 years ago. Then I turn on the T.V., and next thing you know, the Twin Towers come down.

Every chapter I wrote deals with a different aspect of the why and how of the Twin Towers. Maybe they were becoming obsolete, maybe it was time for a change, why all those innocent people?

Conspiracy? No. Good, solid, hard facts, maybe a little better.

I concluded it appears like 9/11 was more of an economic event than anything else. Surely there have been many terrorist attacks. I feel 9/11 is made to look like one of them, but it has other implications.

Still, I feel we don't know enough, so why all the talk about conspiracies.

Remember, it's supposed to be the government of we the people, by the people.

Did little folks like us plan 9/11? I don't think so.

9/11 was a high crime, probably the highest crime I can think of.

Is anybody so far being truly punished for it?

So, I'll conclude by asking...where's justice?

Aren't all actions taken subsequent to 9/11 going about it in an un-legalistic way? (i.e. gathering evidence and finding all the perpetrators, and trying them in a court of law).

We're also supposed to be a government of laws.

First off, you must understand that a conspiracy (in this context) exists simply because there are people who want to believe there is one.
There is no concrete evidence any of this is true. there is however speculation. If repeated often enough, that speculation breeds doubt and for those who doubt, no explanation will suffice until their doubts are confirmed. there is a so called movie of a rocket hitting the pentagon but it isnt a real movie, it is a sequence of still pictures taken by one of the remote cameras along the roadside of the pentagon. if you look at it closely you dont even get a good look at the plane that hit the building. its on youtube. and those websites the purport to show evidence only repeat the speculation as if it were the truth. Its not!!
The 9/11 commission looked into this and declared there was no government involvment in the attacks but those people who hate the current administration will never believe it.
Even if the government was involved it would never be proved because it would have had to be a "Black OP" and no one who would even think about leaking that kind of info would survive long enough to tell anyone.
So put it away with these other conspiracies:
Elvis is Alive (and living in Omaha.)
Jack Kennedy was killed by (Johnson, the Mob, Castro, a Jilted Lover)
Clinton did not lie to the grand jury and told the truth about not having s e x with Monica.
Bush Lied, People Died.
Aliens landed in Roswell and are living in Area 51 ( they get released on the weekends to gamble in Las Vegas)

War on terror is real, 9/11 happened, whether it was by conspiracy is a true statement. It is just that some believe it was a conspiracy by Al Qaida, and some think Republicans. If there is evidence then you can bet it is not available. Greed, Power?
There would be a trial for treason and I believe that it carries a Capital Punishment at worst jail time more likely.

I've seen several video presentations about the "9/11 conspiracy." I also saw Michael Moore's film Farenheit 911. It is no stretch of the imagination that Moore's film had extreme bias, but some of the videoclips he offers do make one pause to think. As far as the "demolition" of the World Trade Center, the video I saw does seem like it had timed charges on every floor, but then again, I don't know enough about building demolition to know for sure that somebody planted charges there to make sure the buildings collapsed. It could just be that that's what it looks like when one floor pancakes onto the next one. The hole in the Pentagon is more troubling. But since everything is "classified" (for reasons unbenknownst to me), there is not a lot of information to go by. Bottom line is that if there was a conspiracy, it would have to involve many people at the FCC and the military, to name just a few. So at some point there would just have to have been a leak, which is all but inevitable if there were a lot of people involved. Of course, anything's possible, and I do believe there is a lot the current administration is not divulging, given its obviously desparate attempts to stay in power no matter what. A great battle for the minds of this country is going on. If I had to point at a conspiracy, it is the information we are being fed through the media vis-a-vis the administration and their Fox affiliates. I just don't know, but it is troubling.

Al Gore is a very intelligent individual. I may not particulary like some of his characteristics, but he would make a better president than Bush. Of that I have no doubt. So would Goofy, but cartoon characters don't actually qualify as leaders of the free world.
