The beatles are in a league of their own. They had (and are still having) an impact on the world that will never be forgotten. I dare say they were greater than even any of the great composers. One can only "imagine" how much more they could have achieved had they stayed together.

BTW, I should point out that to this day, The Beatles have sold more albums worldwide than any other artist. Still, 36 years after they broke up and with half the group deceased, their album sales are among the highest year after year.

The Beatles etched some positive Ideals into our mass culture.
"All you need is love!"

They were creative and dynamic. They had top notch vocalists in John Lennon and Paul McCartney. George Harrison grew into a good singer/songwriter as well. Even the drummer sang hit songs!

The answer has got to be the Beatles.
