why doesn't my logitech controller work with my halo game on my dell pc?

i wanted to get into a little gaming on my dell dim desktop so i bought the orininal Halo from walmart and a dual action logitech controller and brought it home but the game is only letting me play it wit the keyboard.

try going into the game settings and switching it from keyboard?

also going into start-settings-control panel-game controllers

it will have you calibrate the controller and it will also let you know if its sensing that its plugged in.

or it could be that the remote you got is just not compatible with the game...
