The same thing happened to me, when I was 18yo and fell in love with a gorgeous young girl whom I was a friend to for 10+ years.
I took about a month to forget, but of course, my parents and other friends helped and supported me through the sadness.
It will go and leave your body and mind, but you also need to try. Try and think about other things. Focus on other things in life. If you're working, think about work and ure colleagues. If you have good friends whom you can trust, hang out with them and have a BIG LAUGH!
The best thing to do is, just forget about LOVE for now. It's too soon. Always think positive in life! Whatever happens in this life, friend, happens for a reason. It's all God's doing though! God has set that time for you to love and God also set the time, when you two will break. It's inevitable and would happen whether you like it or not, but if you stick with the past, the things ahead of you will fade away and fail. I'm sure you do not want that and you want to move ahead. In time, you shall meet another lady and fall in love.
If you want, you may ask her, what she wants in a guy? Ask her if she can allow you to change for her? Tell her to give you guidance and let her tell you, what's wrong? Usually, begging helps. Other times, constant repitition of the same thing results in positive outcomes.
GOOD LUCK with your decision and "Don't worry! Be happy, Always".

Hook up with someone else. That always helps...Seriously. I was still super bent on my ex and desperately just wanted that whole chapter of my life to end. I was also not letting anyone else into my life because I obviously wasnt as ready as I thought I was to let go..and Sounds to me like you are not over her entirely...therefore open up your mind and heart to othre people..Burn the bridges that still exist between the two of you and move on...Hooking up with someone else will work wonders! It did for me and now I have met an amazing person. Just dont indulge in pathetic void filling relationships..cause the last thing you wanna do is get outta something and wind up in deeper dodoo.

Sad to say, time and distance is the cure. You can always try rebounding with other girls, but that will just hurt the other girl, and you don't want to do that.
Unfortunately, there's no magic wand for this one. Good luck.
