1.) Queen of the Damned (orchestral) soundtrack
2.) Harry Potter & the Sorcerer's Stone soundtrack
(not the other installments)
3.) Virgin Mega Store's : The Concert Performer Series, in which each music composition is accompanied by a disc containing the actual piece.
For instance:
Mozart
Alla Turca
from Sonata K. 331

Sigur Ros. Some of the songs do have few lyrics, but either way it's greatly soothing and they are fantastic live! Theyre from Iceland. =-)

Yes Yanni is good, but I love songs by Kenny G such as "Songbird" and "Forever in Love". I also LOVE the song "You Make me Smile" by Dave Koz, it always puts my baby girl to sleep.
As for Yanni, the best songs to try by him for relaxation are "End of August", "Butterfly Dance", and "Enchantment".
My baby niece who is just one month younger than my daughter loves all songs by Enya, they put her to sleep, you may try her too. Also, the Black Aria album by Glenn Danzig was good. It was a symphony album that he brought out around 1995ish, the tracks that were the best on there were "Cwn Anwnn", "The Morrigu", and "Dirge of Defeat", I also heard that he released Black Aria: II, so you may want to check that one out too! Good luck in your quest. I hope that this list helps you.

Anything by Patrick O'hearn.
Most music from Wyndham Hill.
Sound track from "The Bounty" by Vangelis
Much new age music is like that mostly instrumental.
