I'm kind of new to this SIMS game so today I went to buy the sims the night life expansion pack but now it's say's that i need The sims 2 what is they talking about BTW IT'S ON PC????

The expansion pack is just like upgrading the original game. You can't play it unless you have the original game installed. In your case, you have to install The Sims 2 first, then install the night life expansion. This is the only way.

It sounds like you have the base game "The Sims 2" and you want to install the expansion pack "Nightlife".
The reason that the game needs the disks for the first part of the game is so that it can blend the game together so that nightlife parts can 'expand' the original sims 2 parts. The parts of each will flow into the parts of others such as the animations for cooking, the music, the simlish and using the toilet animals etc, from the first part need to be aware of the new animations that come with the second part.
So you need to put the original game on when the Nightlife game requests it during the installation.

before u can play the "sim the night life (EXPANSION)" u should buy the " sim 2" original one becoz it is does not going to work without the first game of the sim 2...

I think you need to put the Sims 2 cd in the drive when it's installing.

unless you have the sims 2 there is no way you can get that to work
