Okay, for the last three season, this has bothered me. When the guys go up to be weighed they all take off their t-shirts. How can one t-shirt affect the outcome of their weight? It only weighs 8 ounces or so. I don't see the women take anything off. Does this bother anyone else?

I don't expect the women to take off their shirts, they wear those sport top or something like that but they could also give the guys a tank top to wear. It shouldn't mean much to the guy to wear a shirt, they tend to lose more weight than the women.

no it doesn't bother me. If you pay close attention the girls have shirts also, they just don't put them on until after the weigh in. you will see them carrying a shirt with them when they are leaving. they also take their shoes off, if you have ever been on a diet you know that you are actually supposed to weigh yourself naked, so i would say they are trying to get as close to naked as possible without actually getting completely naked.

Doesn't bother me. But 8 ounces is 1/2 lb. They are going to take anything they can.

No, it is absolutely meaningless, Why would you want the women to take their shirts off, or expect them to, aren't they trying to lose the weight to look better?

I don't think they want to show all the extra ripples.

Don't forget it's TV and they have to make it dramatic or people wouldn't watch. I'd say its just for effect
