i dont know if it has always been there and im just now noticing it, or if its new or what, and i dont know what to do. i know i should have it checked, but i like discussing things like this with my husband-closure i guess, and he is in basic training-finishes in mid-october. i dont want to tell him about it in a letter, but i know your supposed to get these things checked quickly...what should i do! i dont want to get it checked without talking to him cause if it were cancer or serious, it would be a huge shock out of nowhere...

Go to the doctor, and don't tell your hubby yet. He would worry SO much about you, and being far away like that would be just awful for him. If it turns out to be something (God forbid!), then tell him, and just explain that you didn't want to worry him when he's so far away. I wish you the best of luck. It is probably nothing... it could be a wart or callus or ingrown hair. But have a doctor look at it to be safe... you do not want to let a potential problem get worse.

I have a little hard bump about the size of a pea on either side, near my bikini line too. I noticed them years ago and panicked, then forgot all about them. They're still there after all these years and still the same size! It sounds like they're just a part of our anatomy. Cancerous lumps usually change (usually, they grow). So I'd keep an eye on the lump and make sure it stays the same if I were you.

You should certainly have your doctor look at it. I would before telling my husband, but I'm not you. No need to worry him when he's so far away.

It could be absolutely nothing. Could be an ingrown hair. Could be an enlarged lymph node, which is worrysome and can be a sign of cancer.

So go make an appointment to see your doctor.

It could just be an ingrown hair that's caused this pump. It could also just be a big pimple.
Really only a professional who can actually look at it can tell you what it is.
Go to your doctor.

could simply be an ingrown hair. Go to your doc and have him/her take a look at it.
