Be short and cute and deal with it. I love being short. I will probably never have to date a guy shorter than I am.

i was taller than my sister until the 6th grade. I am 23 now and 5"7. My sister is 21 and 6"2. It's been at least 10 years since she's been taller than me. What i've done to help me feel better about being the oldest and the shortest is try to find things i'm good at that she's not.
oh, and my two younger brothers (17 & 16) are 6"2 & 6"4 :(

Yes. Genetic traits does influence your physique. It also depends on which side of the gene pool that you inherit. Is your dad/mom taller/shorter than the average male/female of their age in your family? Your sister probably has inherited the 'tall' gene from the 'taller' gene pool from either side.
Don't be so sad. Being tall is not everything you know. There are plenty of successful people out there who is not tall. Be proud of who you are and who you can be. Besides, she might just be having a growth spurt.
Don't be so hard on yourself.
Take care.

Been there, done that. My sister is older than me, when were younger I was taller then her. Then she hit a growth spurt and was a foot taller. She then stopped growing at 16 and I stopped at 18. Now I am 4 inches taller, in bare feet.
It use to bug her cuz I was taller, but her fav saying to being short is: "at least I can look up people's noses and tell them they have to cut their nose hairs" lol
Don't worry about it, everyone grows differently. Whos knows, maybe you and your sister will end up like me and my sister, we joke about it to this day. I'm 26 and 5'8" and she's 29 and 5'4"

You shouldn't be. Wouldn't you think being different is good? The beauty is that you would be noticed as who you are, not because you are of same traits as your sister. Your body built is also a factor why your height is like that. Try to loose some pounds, you'll notice you seem taller than before... 'coz If you're fat, you'll grow horizontally; if you are thin, you'll grow vertically.

Try not to be sad, you are perfect just the way you are because God made you. Your sister probably took her height after someone in the family who is tall, or at least taller than you. It could be a grandmother, grandfather, or great grandmother or great grandfather or even back farther. Being overweight does not have any affect on your height. Be thankful for who you are, just the way you are.

yea I'm 17 and my 14 year old sister is the same exact height as me. She weighs like 30 more pounds also. I went to doctors and they said I'm probably done growing. We are both 5'9. But when she went they said she was gonna be 6 feet. She's starting to use her size and push me around which is annoying because it's something she will always have over me now

no don't be sad unless your stupid but if you just want to fill bad look around for something more worthy of your sadness something like little children going hungry every night and day because their mom and dad died of aids or, etc. you get my drift. get your eyes off your sister, stop eating so much and start think ing of ways to better your life and relationship with your sister and the world and have a good prosperous and productive life good luck.

why be sad over something you cannot control? people grow at different rates, you may grow taller yet and your sister may stop growing. at any rate, it is not worth being sad over. be proud of who you are!
