First of all, what type of abusiv relationship are you in? Is it physical, mental, or maerial abuse. All are bad and con progress through stages. Studies have show that people that are abusive have been brought up in abusive families themselves, therefore that is the only acceptable lifestyle they are accustom too.
If you wish to get out of the relationship, don't leave until you have made a plan. Many Law Enforcement agenices have domestic abuse/violence advocates that work for them that can point you in the right direction for assistance and lodging.
As for the old boyfriend. has your intrest peaked in him due to the fact that you are not happy in your married life, is he seen as an object of desire due to you not being able to be with him, or is it a genuine love? Remeber, The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, reguardless of what side you are on.
The paramount issue is to remove yourself from the abusive mate before something happens and you unfortunatly becoe another statistic.

Honey, first thing you need to do is get the hell away from your abusive husband. NOW!! You don't need a boyfriend right now. You need to file for divorce and get back your self esteem you have lost from being abused. Your having feelings for your ex boyfriend because your miserable in your marriage. End the marriage, then move on. Don't think about having an affair with this ex boyfriend while your married. You will regret it, PLUS, if your husband finds out about it and he already has a history of being abusive, you may be in for extreme abuse from him. Think about it..................

I am confused also. If you are being abused then why haven't you left already.? Take some time to get to know yourself a little or you will find that you will be in one mentally unhealthy relationship after the next. Is the abuse the problem or the excuse. Best Wishes.

Look honey, divorce isn't the worse thing in the world to get. Especially when you are being cheated on and abused. You deserve 'way' better than this and let me tell you, don't you do what people expect you to do, because it won't make them happy anyway. All you have to do is put the idea in your mind and let it grow, that you want out of this. Do you want to spend the rest of your life miserable because you were to chicken to call it quits...and probably this is the first marriage for you and you are feeling like 'oh what will people say?' Let them talk. Let them say. Get out of it. I am not ordinarily too hot for going to the 'next guy' so suddenly but it is a strange world and maybe destiny has put this other guy in your life to get you to be motivated to be happy again. This guy is no good if he has cheated on you. This guy is no good if he is cruel to you. What sort of human is that to have children with? Now I am not saying to 'rush into anything', but if it motivates you to get out of a bad relationship by having this other guy show up, than 'do it', get out. Run.

I'll bet this is no coincidence, that the old BF just happened along about the time your husband became abusive.
Work out the issues with your husband, and leave the other guy alone until either the issues are resolved, or you are free to marry again.

Get out of your marriage, you don't need the abuse. I've heard before that women pick the same kind of loser again and again; have you? Don't just jump back into a relationship that fell apart for some reason; it likely won't work the second time around either.

Get rid of the Husband like instantly. The ex is just an ex, remember the two if you broke up for a reason.

Leave the ex boyfriend alone and try to work out your marriage. The abusive part with your husband, try and work out the problem and if it do not help, then you should consider other alternatives.

Well first off it is one reason that you might be having feeling for this other guy again is because things are going bad with your curent. Talk with your current and if there is irreconcilable differences break it off and take thing slow with the other guy, you dnt want to jump into a rebound thing thats not cool for either party.
