I run a 16 team, long-term keeper league (Since 1992). We start 7 each offense and defense. The drafts are 6 rounds and virtually all rookies. One owner has offered another owner a 1st rounder for Moss and I am to decide if that is a fair deal. What do you think?

I thought I explained this enough but here's more info. We have a draft, MOSTLY ROOKIES, every single August. It is a keeper league. This would be a 1st round draft pick for the draft held next August.

Yes, this is a fair trade. Moss is a proven commodity, and he will be good again, even if his offense sucks right now.

I personally would think that the first round pick is not worth as much as moss, given that you pretty much have to draft an unproven rookie, whereas Moss is consistently in the Top 5 of receivers. Folks are acting like he has leprosy because his team is off to a terrible start. He wont be a top 5 receiver this year, but he certainly has the potential to be there again in the future, which is the value in the keeper league.

Nooo it's not a fair trade Randy Moss is doing nothing this year. and its not fair to the guy getting Moss. Ummm how do you have Moss if no ones picked yet?? that makes no sence man.
Anywho tell the guy that wants the first round pick to give up LT or maybe Rudi Johnson or Portis for the 1st round pick.
R.Moss is struggling in Oakland I know he only has 3 points on my fantasy team.

He said it was a Keeper League. So he gets to choose players to keep as "Franchise" players for the next year, normally between 2-4 players each year.

It would depend if you have a legitimate chance to get Mauroney, Gore (assume he wasnt kept), Maurice Jones-Drew, Ahman Green, F. Taylor, or Reggie Bush. All of those guys are probably out on waiver and have a big bright Fantasy future ahead of them and I would trade Moss for them.

It is a fair deal, I wouldnt trade him for a 1st rounder anymore but not b/c of his talent level, for the fact that Aaron Brooks/Andrew Walters arent good enough to get him the ball and the coaching staff isnt smart enough to design plays for their best and only play maker, Moss.....

Moss is worth a first round pick but he isn't doing anything because the QBs for the Raiders just sucks. It is risky because of the QB situation with the RAIDERS. It is up to you though.

I don't think moss is worth a first round pick, but as the other person suggested, it has alot to do with his surroundings. Not worth it as a Raider, cause the team isn't good enough and he can't throw to himself!!

unless Oakland gets a QB that throws or Randy get traded he is useless. Pick up my sleeper rookie Greg Jennings wr. Green Bay. 101 yards and 1 td last week.

It's a fair deal, I would put Moss at a solid 2nd rounder...not something you can veto if you're the commish.

How can someone offer a draft pick for a player if you haven't had the draft yet?
