Thats all people want in life is happiness....In this generation homosexuals are becoming more common and its only going to get more common. People arent gay because its "cool" They are gay because that where they find happiness. I know people think "Its against religion" But if you look in a student bible. He does not judge gay people. Dont believe me read it. You will not go to hell for being gay and its not a sin. HAPPINESS is the key thing here. Im in love with the most beautiful woman, and alot of people look up to us for that. Dont look at gays because of there sexual life look at them a say "there happy, thats nice!!" Why is it such a bad thing???

Homosexuals are fine, they are people just like everyone else!
The difference is they are amazing, in the fact that they have enough courage to be themselves even knowing that stupid people will judge them for it!
I have a gay friend he is the most beautiful person iv ever met! He has gone through so much just for being gay!
He got bashed when he was a teen for being gay and has spent his whole life in a wheel chair because of these disgusting people! He is only now learning to walk!
So for all you gay haters out there get over yourself now for everybody's sake! No one wants to hear you mouth off and be a total idiot! GROW UP!!!!

Why does it have to be a "student bible" (you really should capitalize "Bible" ... out of respect)? Can't you just use any Bible? Don't the real ones all say the same thing?
The different translations may offer it up in terms that are easier for modern speaking man/womankind to understand ... but the message doesn't change. Check again.
But if HAPPINESS is all you really care about then you probably don't really believe in hell anyhow or care if it is a sin. That's OK too. That's what this life is all about. The ability to make choices. You are nobody's Howdy Doody.
Not all people just think "its against religion". There are many people who deeply feel for the millions like you. Perhaps some people just don't understand how that can be part of the greater plan ... if you can't reproduce and body parts don't fit together.

It's not about religion, it's about social norms. Being gay is "different", it's not a social norm. I think, it's on its way to becoming more and more accepted, tho - perhaps in a couple of generations discrimination against gays will be viewed with the same outrage as racial discriminination (recall that only 50 years ago black people had to ride in the back of the bus). Why does it even matter what the bible says about it? Homosexuality has been around for way longer than the bible (think Ancient Greeks).

First, the Bible does say that homosexuality is a sin. Reread your bible. I Corrinthians 6:9-10(Holy Bible-New International Version: "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kindom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the seually
immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosesual offenders (verse 10) not thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanders nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
Second, there are gay people that I enjoy spending time with and don't judge them for being gay. The Bible says to hate the sin, but love the sinner. You can repent of your sin and ask God to forgive you and have everlasting life. I pray that you will do this.

It absolutely is not a bad thing to be gay. It's not a good thing. It just is. People are born with sexual preferences, and who are we to say what's right or wrong for other people? People should be free to be whom they are, and should feel free to do so in public, especially here in the United States, where all Bush is yapping about are the fab "American Freedoms." I don't think homosexuality is more common today, I think more people feel comfortable in being open with it, as they should be. If people are happy, and it doesn't hurt anyone else, then it's no one's business but their own. Period.

Actually christianity and other major religions condemn sodomy (being gay) and its not natural because gay people can't make children...hinting that this is an unnatural state rather than a natural one. But I believe that gay people should be left alone to do what they like because no one has the right to interfere in anyone's life for their personal choices.

It's a bad thing because people are afraid to accept this. I on the other hand am all for it if it's what you want to do. Nobody should be judged for what you choose to do, say, who you love, or marry. In reality nobody but God gets to judge. Simple, because people are truly afraid of what they don't know. Not only that, people are afraid of their own sexuality, and follow Christian teachings to a point where they aren't doing God's work! People are idiots! My Father is gay, and whenever I mention that, they all run away like I have some illness. It's horrible I know!
To most Americans, it's a taboo, unless you are big busty blond lipstick lesbian. Then, its a WHOLE new story, its a movie..

I'm a christian and I love gay people....you're right, there are a lot of straight people who aren't as happy as you and your girlfriend......good for you:) without gay people this world would be so boring.
