READ IS FULL...U WILL DEFINATELY FIND SOLUTION

Acne treatment (for acne vulgaris)

There are countless acne treatment programs on the market - ranging from prescribed drugs to weird folklore and alternative remedies.

But to find a solution to the problem, a person should first try and find the root cause, instead of just treating the symptoms.

It contains no harsh chemicals to burn your skin, leaving it red, swollen, tight and uncomfortable, and the program has been designed to look after all the aspects in helping you achieve a clear skin. Please use the program conscientiously every day, and give it time to help your system normalize itself.

My best school friend suffered badly from acne, and I know the problems it can cause - the physical scarring and the mentally agony of no confidence and wanting to continuously hide your face.

Acne - can it be cured ?
Acne cures are plenty, not only on the web, but all around us. Open any magazine and you see an acne cure on offer - promising to cure and heal even the most persistent acne. This is unfortunately not always true, and while some acne cures will at worst do nothing, some may in actual fact cause damage to your skin.

Our Acne Treatment Program has been put together to offer you the gentle, effective healing effect of herbs, without harsh burning chemicals, and no side effects.

Herbal extracts to fight acne and get rid of zits
Our acne treatment is based on herbs and active herbal compounds fighting acne, and while acne healing will not happen overnight, with regular use, these products will greatly assist in your fight against acne. Our acne help should be seen as an alternative acne treatment, and should not be used instead of your treatment prescribed by your medical practitioner.

Acne is typically found the face, upper shoulders, back and chest and although some people might think that acne is a small problem, it might just leave the acne sufferer with physical and psychological scars, to carry along for the rest of his or her life. Acne must be seen as a serious problem, which needs attention, and daily monitoring.

What is acne?
Acne is not just simple pimples, blackheads or zits, but can be large papules, pustules, carbuncles, cysts and nodules, forming "under" or on "top" of the skin, with or without pus.

Acne is a disorder where the pilosebaceous glands of the skin are infected. The sebaceous glands manufacture sebum, the natural oil, for our skin, to keep the skin lubricated.

Severe acne is clinically manifested by nodules and cysts, and while more men are affected in the 17 - 29 age group, more women are more affected in ages between 28 - 48.

One of the greatest problems is not just active acne, but also the acne scarring and cystic lesions afterwards.

Although great results are achieved with products such as Accutane, and Retin-A, some people simply can not afford this treatment, while others might suffer from the side effects.

Causes of acne
There are many ideas and theories, but the most generally accepted ideas on what contribute to acne is the following:

acne and hormonal changes (on this page)

acne and age (on this page)

acne and heredity factors, (on this page)

acne and diet - the facts and the myths. (on this page)

No single item above can be given more importance in the fight against acne, and all these factors should be considered to achieve a holistic approach to fighting acne. Additional things could be done to help your fight against acne - Click Here.

Hormonal changes and acne
Hormone imbalances are greatly indicative as a trigger for acne, specially seen in the light that the onset of acne normally happens at puberty, where the hormonal balance in the body is altered.

Age and acne
Age plays a major role in acne, as can be seen from the list below, but it can also be seen that acne is not exclusively reserved as a teenage problem.

73 - 85% people between 12 - 24 years suffer from acne,

6 - 8% people between 25 - 34 years suffer from acne

2 - 4% people over 35 years of age.

Heredity factors and acne
People with a family history of acne should be more aware of the problem, and should endeavor to start looking at his problem before it develops into severe acne, causing scarring and skin lesions.

Diet and acne
Diet alone will not help clear up acne, and ideas on the relationship between junk food and acne vary - whereas some people think that the trans-fatty acids in greasy foods promote acne skin, the wisest choice would be to follow a well balanced diet.

A balanced diet with enough fresh fruit and vegetables have always been a staple answer in the fight against acne, which to my mind is still pretty good advice. It might be a good idea to limit or cut out refined and oily foods, and increase your intake of water. Diet allergies appears to play a role in adult acne, but less so in teenage acne.

Additional help with acne
Mild sunbathes may help some flare-ups of acne, but should be done with great care, as the sun is aging. When using a sunscreen while suffering from acne, ensure that the lotion is non-greasy.

Most acne sufferers like to hide the acne under some form of "base" but be careful - rather do not cover up the acne, but moisturize the skin with a non-greasy moisturizing lotion. Keep the use of make-up and heavy color base on acne to a minimum.

Vitamins and acne
Some people hold the opinion that extra vitamins does nothing to help clear up skin, my personal feeling is that a well functioning metabolism and body will indeed help with fighting acne to a certain extent.

Extra intake of vitamin A might be beneficial for conditions such as cystic acne, but care must be taken with vitamin A, since vitamin A can be toxic if taken in large quantities and is best taken under medical supervision.

Stress and acne
Stress might not activate acne, but may in some cases make acne worse.

Normal medical treatments of acne
Prescribed medical treatments can include the following:

A medicated facial wash and other topical treatments which contains high amounts of
benzoyl peroxide
salicylic acid
azeleic acid
adapalene
tretinoin
topical antibiotics
erythromycin
clindamycin
tetracycline
Oral medication such as
Antibiotics taken orally
tetracycline
trimethoprim-sulphamethoxazole
minocycline
doxycycline
erythromycin etc
Hormone treatment
Isotretinoin
and others.

I've personally been using this stuff from Avon, lol... seriously i have found that it has at least REDUCED the amount of acne I've had on MY forehead! It's called : ANEW (Retroactive + 2-in-1 cleanser) ... Works well, I find it smells kinda like a grandma when ur using it, but the smell doesn't stay. It does make ur skin feel very soft as well! :) ...
I've used Noxzema (citrus scrub) before this Avon stuff and to me it worked pretty good, just not good enough, lol.
I've also used Clearasil Daily Oil Control cuz of course I had oily skin as well, and that DOES prevent your skin from becoming too oily! :) ...
But definately give that AVON stuff a try... I am very GLAD i tried it... but you do know you have to find what works for YOUR skin type, so maybe you can ask your doctor! :) (Plus washing your face regularly helps, when I'd use the bathroom and then wash my hands, I'd also get a papertowel and wet it and rinse my face off. That helps too.
*NOTE: The AVON stuff does dry my skin out a bit ... so I do USE VERY LITTLE lotion to keep it hydrated.. but just a LITTLE bit... enough to say u put some on. BUT IT TRUELLY! TRUELLY works!

And YES BANGS are not very helpful, so if you have some, tie them back, cuz they just add to your acne problem.

Irregularity is normal. Not having a period for 2 yrs is not normal. Your doctor does not seem to be taking your concern seriously. Get a new doctor. If you are not seeing a board certified OBGYN I would suggest that, rather than a MD or DO. OBGYN actually specialize in womens health. Look smarty; OB/ GYN is an abbreviation for obstetrician/ gynecologist. An OB/ GYN's job is to screen for certain diseases including cancers of the breasts, cervix, uterus, vagina and surrounding area. Another important part of an OB/ GYN's job is to diagnose and treat female reproductive health issues that include sexually transmitted diseases, menstrual issues, diseases of the breasts, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries, as well as fertility problems, and premenstrual syndrome and menopause related issues. I have no idea where you got the idea they wont see you if you are not 18 but that is a load of BS. Every woman should make an appointment with their OB/ GYN every year beginning at the age of 21, or within three years of sexual intercourse if under age 21. It's extremely important to return for annual Pap smears and pelvic exams according to individual recommendations by your OB/ GYN. Also, consult your OB/ GYN anytime you experience anything that is not normal for you or if have any questions about your reproductive health.

Try tea tree oil! Use a Q-tip to dab it on problem areas, or combine it with a facial moisturizer. It won't dry out your skin like acne medications and other products you might find at the store, and it isn't terribly expensive, either. I've tried everything else, and this is the only thing that's worked for me. Plus, I feel better about it because it's natural and not full of chemicals.

Acne is a result of a severe dandruff. Consult a dermatologist and you may be given a good antibiotic cream to be appiled along with vitamin capsules and anti-dandruff shampoo.

Avoid bangs if you can. Use a facial wash, and maybe a toner especially on your forehead. Neutrogena, which many dermatologists recommend, is a really good product. It is reasonably priced also.

serious skin care products work. if its just the forehead then you may need to use a clarifying shampoo like twice a week it will get rid of some of the oil build up in your hair that may be causing the acne
